ok so im not allowed to buy things right now cuz im moving in two weeks but i first saw mickey and thought “my collection does not contain an authentic mickey” so i somehow rationalized buying him. then, i saw the dough boy which i was forced to buy because i have a dough girl and why not reunite them since they are meant for each other. but then it turns out that he and mickey fell  in love and happen to be star crossed lovers. who knew? they do look good together, right?

i’ve been taking lots of pictures lately. my canon G10 camera is the best camera ever! soon i plan on redoing the site and uploading all the work i did this past semester. good times! xoxo L

Hello world! So I survived my first year of grad school! Oh hooray! What a crazy year its been. I have so much new work I’ve made and I am also planning to redo the site this summer along with many new projects! The easiest thing to share is this trailer for an upcoming animation I hope to make one day. My inspiration for the trailer was from the movie, The Deadly Mantis, which I hope to see very soon.

More updates soon I hope! Lauren

It’s so funny. This morning I put on my peanut necklace from Hullabaloo only to later find this article all about Jimmy Carter’s hometown. The article has a great slide show of pictures including the one above which is very reminiscent of Amy Sedaris. The necklace (shown below) is also Jimmy Carter related and was used as election-campaign goods:

This photo from the NYtimes slideshow is kinda freaky but is basically a statue version of this necklace! Why the peanut with a mouth and no eyes? It’s so bizarre….If I was a small child, I think it would maybe give me nightmares.

Until next time, shop at Hullabaloo! They rock! xoxox Lauren

ok so this morning i attempted to make pizza from scratch for the first time ever. well, the dough from scratch was new for me…anyhoo, i ended up burning it to a crisp cuz my timer was not working so i scooped out the center part and had what steve martin coined in “The Jerk” as PIZZA IN A CUP! it was as good as I always imagined it out be.

Right now I’m working on my php/programming assignment. So exciting to be learning more about making websites! I will have more fun updates to share soon! Yeah! xoxo Lauren

Last week I was upstate in Greenwich, NY for xmas with Rob’s family. Here are some fun pics. Happy new year! xoxo Lauren

DUDE! I have been wanting to update SNACK MOUNTAIN forever! I have finally put something up and I did it all in one day! I don’t really understand how this happened but I am excited to share some new work from school with you! Next semester I think I will be taking a class where I will learn PHP so I’ll probably update it more soon! Yay!

Happy Holidays! xoxo Lauren

OK, homemade edible googley eyes!!! This is so genius that I can hardly believe it.  I can’t wait to try it out. I actually recently bought the edible gelatin capsules recently so I can make them soon! Plus, holiday cookie season is approaching! Woohoo! From Evil Mad Scientist.

Also, wanted to wish ya a Happy Halloween. I am dressing up and goning to a party for the first time in about 3-4 years. I am going to be Blossom as a zombie. At first I was just gonna be Blossom but then my friend said she wanted to be a zombie and I decided to join her and merge the two. We just went to the Salvation Army and I actually found the sweater and shorts in this picture:

I don’t have the had but I have this cable knit purple beret that I can attach a flower to. Nice! Also, I decided that I may start posting work here when its finished. I am really excited about this icon project I have been working on so I’ll be sharing that with you soon! Yeehaw! xoxox Lauren

So I found out around 9pm that I don’t have class tomorrow which lead me to procrastinate/surf the internet for the first time in months. Geez, school is so intense its hard to find a moment like this to share fun pictures with you! A couple weeks ago Rob and I went to this awesome vintage poster show! The let me take pictures so I tried to capture some inspirational posters. This one pictured above blew my mind. If you look close on the bottom right there are a bunch of little gas men running down the hill. How cute! What other forms of energy can we anthropomorphize?

I have been on the fence as to whether to share new work that I am making here but since I barely have time to upload anything, I have defaulted at not doing it. I think once I’m ready I’ll upload stuff to the site Design Related that Rob’s friend Karen started. It’s a great site! You should check it out! I’ve been learning so much new stuff which is super exciting! I’m also taking this great elective all about the politics of FOOD!

Well, I should go do some reading (working never ends…) Ciao! Lauren

It’s true! I am famous, although you would have no idea that that’s me! A photo student here at Yale needed subjects and I totally skipped a library orientation to go! So cool! Dreams do come true!

Also, on an unrelated topic I wanted to highlight the fact that I have reached 1,000 bookmarks on the delicious bookmarking site! So delicious! It’s pretty cool! xoxo Lauren

It’s true. Summer is over. I am going to school tomorrow at 9am. Both weird and cool at the same time! I just uploaded some pics I took while visiting a tomato festival at a lovely farm in Mass a couple weeks ago. It was awesome to hang out with my good friend Rachel and meet her awesome boyfriend who lives in a tent and works on the farm. Then last week I took lots of pics at Coney Island to savor Astroland before they tear it down:

Here are a few highlights from the set:

R’okay d’okay! I can’t wait to start making new work! Yaaaay! xoxo Lauren
